Hi all
Sitting here outside our tent alongside the Gard river in Anduze. Thinking of where to go next year. Being a bit fussy probably as it is lovely here. What our ideal site would have is a lovely riverside pitch with easy access to the river for swimming. Site could have a pool but not a water park as attracts too many people (we are early 50s, no kids with us). So who has any suggestions for us please. Need this far south as we love the sun and will be here same time next year. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Acsi site would be great as well.

We have just returned from Le Bastide which has its own man made beach on the river. The river is very rocky so I would definitely recommend you buy some sea shoes. It had a small pool complex and little evening entertainment but was a very busy site. It is near Sampzon which is between Ruoms and Vallont Pont d'arc. Its a lovely area and there seemed to be a lot of campsites located next to the river

In fact you replied to our post! Castel Rose would def suit us - kids just moan if there's no English kids to hook up with.
I always struggle to find something half way between a Eurocamp type site which is too much for me and a site with no English families.
Can't see why we just don't go back to Les Rivages but like going somewhere new.

Been just down the road from last rivages at les peupliers, was a few years ago when our daughter was young, she doesn't come with us any more, hence looking for a quieter site. Don't know why but I find the weather to be better to the east of the cevennes. This site is good, being invaded by Dutch at the moment. Not that I mind that. We are thinking to go further east again next year, if anyone can help us with a good site???
