We have just been left in the terminal carpark for 10 hours!! We misssed our book in because of the A1 being closed overnight. We are in the frequent travellers scheme, and had to pay an extra £20 because the crossing was not off peak. When in the car park we spoke to a few others in the same position who were even later than us to cross. We thane watched them being asked if they would like to cross earlier, which of course they did. When we complained to customers services they denied it saying they didn't cross, well in that case they have vanished, because they never reappeared. On our last two crossings we have had problems booking in even with the correct bank card being used.we are now looking at a season ticket with P&O or dfds, rather than use the tunnel again
Did you try amending your FT crossing online, to check later availability yourself?
We used the tunnel this morning after amending our crossing time and date online last night. We still arrived a bit early so were put on a train an hour earlier than booked without any problems (same price bracket).

I don't really understand what happened to Naebother. The timings for off-peak crossings on Eurotunnel Frequent Traveller are any crossing from Folkestone between 16.00hr and 05.59hr, any day of the year so Naebother's original night-time crossing should not have been subject to a £20 charge. The crossing they were offered as an 'available' crossing is during peak times, which all seems a bit odd. Was it this crossing they were asked to pay extra for? If the details are correct, then I would have complainef to Customer Services once home again.
Like others, we have a Frequent Traveller account but have never had any problems.
We changed our FT booking yesterday morning, originally travelling on 17th at 13.20, to an 18.50 crossing last night at a cost of £20 as it fell within peak time and were actually put on the 17.20 when we arrived at Calais. There is never a fee for changes if the new crossing is off-peak.
Hi val, yes the £20 supplement was because the next available crossing was not off peak. We do intend to contact customer support when we get home. To top it all off we haven't had a dry day since we arrived!!
