Thinking of taking a trip to France in November. Can anyone recommend a site close to a decent sized town/city within 5 hours of Calais. Preferably a site that has decent facilities as we both love our sports. Thanks in advance. 😊

Nantes municipal site, excellent facilities, fab swimming centre opposite, trams into city, but cycle lanes regardless

In November you will need to check that sites are open, exactly what facilities will.be available,and whether nearby bars and restaurants are open. French sites tend to have very short opening seasons. Have a look at the ACSI Card website and type in the last date you expect to be away, to find some sites which will be open, then email the sites to find out what facilities will be open.

At that time of year I think I would go to Paris. The Indigo Paris site has been smartened up and is open all year. There is cycling and bike hire there in the Bois de Boulogne, and there is no shortage of leisure centres in the city, with swimming pools and a range of sporting activities if that is what the OP wants - but all sorts of other attractions in Paris of course too.
