Hi
We would really like to go to Bavaria and camp by the side of a lake, preferably with mountains nearby and within accessible distance of Munich and Neuschwanstein for day trips.
We have a tent and would use hook up, but it's not essential.
2 adults and 2 kids - 12 and 14 and swimming in the lake, walking, general outdoor activities would suit us all fine.
All ideas would be gratefully received.

Camping Hopfensee is a high quality lakeside site, and only a few miles from Neuschwanstein - but perhaps you want somewhere simpler and cheaper ? Reviews on ACSI and Trip Advisor but surprisingly none here on UKCampsite. .

I've tried to use ACSi and Trip Advisor, but have been spoilt with this site and don't find the other two so easy to nagivate or user friendly!
