The Aude, where we have our house, has a 'Bus at 1 euro' scheme where you pay just one euro per trip, and 'trips' can include several changes of bus, provided the changes are within a certain timescale during one day. I think the Herault area also has a one euro bus scheme, but where timetables are easy to find in the Aude, I can't find similar information about the Herault.

Les Berges is very French - we are often the only Brits staying on site. Those that do come are generally one nighters stopping off from the autoroute. We like it. We are due there next year again. The new owners have changed things for the better - more of a restaurant than a snack bar, updated loos, bigger boulodrome, motorhome area although it only takes smaller vans and has very little shade at the moment. Activities each evening if that is your thing. 6 miles to a choice of beach but the roads to Valras will be busy. Portiragnes is much quieter. Canal tow path is a walker's/runner's/cyclist's paradise. Don't knock me over when you pass me on my daily morning run. Beziers has a son et lumiere each Thursday evening. Plenty to see in the wider area - Sete to Narbonne
