Hi
We have booked a ferry which leaves Portsmouth to Santander late on a Friday afternoon.
What we want is a site near Portsmouth that will allow us to arrive late on Thursday evening around 21.00 hours and allow to leave late around 15.00 on the Friday. This will give us an opportunity to visit the sites around Portsmouth before the sailing.
We have considered Rookesbury Park as we are Caravan Club members but they do not allow to stay later in the afternoon.
May we ask if anyone could suggest a site or CL within 25 miles or so that would be flexible with the times that would suit our needs.
We would not need electric or any shower facilities but would need a toilet

Talk to the owner of Arden CL site at Lee on Solent and see whether he will let you do that.

There is a campsite at Southsea (which is part of Portsmouth really). See here

Edit...just saw their tariff and nearly had a heart attack

Try south lychee manor caravan park, nice pub nearby as well
We used this site the last time we used the Portsmouth ferry

have you looked at Sunnydale fm.

they are nearer to Southampton, but we used them a few years back for a few nights before an ealry ferry, and the pitch was big enough to stay hooked up, and there were a few leaving early like us, and late eve for the overnighter.

South Lychet Manor is closer to Poole and about 50 miles from Portsmouth.

In addition to Sunnydale Farm mentioned above, I'd also recommend

Dibles Park, great little site, very friendly, we use it as an occasional weekend getaway. It's about 30 minutes from Portsmouth.

I don't know if they can acommodate your requirements but it's worth asking.

We used Sunnydale fm and Dibles Pk both pretty good
