Hi there
Has anyone been to camping fornella, lake garda and could advise us on how close it is to nearby towns and how easy it is to access places such as verona and possibly aqua park further along the lake. We have motor home and would rather get about either cycling or other forms of public transport. read a lot of reviews but many do not include this info. Also are there a lot of younger children on site, taking 13 and 14 yr olds prefer a more mixed age range .
Many thanks
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
We've stayed nearby at Camping Eden, and got a train to Verona and to Venice from Desenzano - but that's a drive away, not a cycle ride. The route around the lake from Eden to Salo was fairly flat, and I would have thought an easy cycle route, but don't know the bit between Eden and Fornella. San Felice de Benaco and Porto de San Felice are nearby - but there are plenty of other things going on all around the lake in that area.
Looking at the map there are quite a few aquaparks in the area - but I would say they are all a drive away and not a cycle ride. Can't help with public transport other than the train, as we didn't use any.
Try camping Fossalata, right on the lake, bus stop out the front and a huge water park next door to it and Gardaland 5min away. Gardaland is excellent, we went in Oct last year and you didnt have to wait more then 10 min to get on any of the rides.
