Hi I have been offered the use of a 9 seater (LWB) VW Transporter for our holiday to the South of France. We usually use our Golf with an Erde 125 trailer; having had a look on the via Michelin website the cost of tolls for this vehicle appears to be the same as the Golf.
Can anyone clarify this?
Thanks
Paul

Our VW transporter is just a tad under 2 metres high and we travel class 1 in France.
Same here, and ours has an elevating roof, but still goes under 2metres. You can go through the 'car lanes' for under 2metres if you are paying by card.
We have a Transporter T5 and always go through the tolls as Class 1, however when we have the roofbox on we get charged Class 2 at the automated booths. We always pay on a credit card, get a receipt printed and claim it back from Sanef when we get home via their website. We received a credit back on the card a few weeks later.
A lot of Transporters have been lowered which can often make a difference. We've had several VDubs and the price has varied with the different wheel sizes and suspension settings.
