I intend to camp around Europe this year including some east European countries .My insurance company will only insure My car for counties inside the Eu can anyone give me some advice regards this problem.
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Shop around and definitely change insurer. You may have to do comparethemarket.com and then call the insurers. Would be interested how you get on, or how any one else has got on
You would need to do research into the individual countries you wish to visit. Use google search terms such as ‘driving into Belarus’ for example. You will need to do careful reseach as to any permits or vignettes required.
Thanks it seems that it's expensive and problematic to get insurance for country's outside the Eu ,so looking at the trip again I've deleted a couple that I would probably have only spent days there ,travelling through anyway .thanks for a prompt reply .

Saga motor insurance (for peopleover50) is more accommodating for that sort of thing than some other insurance companies, but you have to phone them to discuss the matter with them to get a quote covering nonEU countries.
Last year I combined my breakdown cover and comprehensive cover with Saga and saved about £100, they also do long term cover for Europe at no extra cost which many others don't. It worked for me
