We are travelling with our caravan from Bilbao, and have found 3 sites now to Salamanca, we are trying to find a site around Viseu in Portugal.... Any suggestions ?? we will be travelling on the A25 in Portugal to Viseu, so close to this road would be good ?!!

Not quite on the 'doorstep', but we found a lovely site near Tomar ... with the best campsite restaurant ever! Handy for Coimbra and Lisbon ...

You should consider Oporto, too ... lovely city, and the 'de rigour' port wine house tours ... Grahams and Cockburn's are the two best.

You can read my reviews on sites, should you be so inclined!

We are heading down and staying between Lisbon and Oporto, then getting train into the cities, Husband is a great Port fan, so def doing Port House, even got me trying it now !... can't wait... our plan is to then travel back to Bilbao via the coast line...I've made a note of the site you have said & will read your reviews too.... It looks like there is an Aire in Tomar, but there are some sites around that area... I have found http://en.camping.info/portugal/campsites has been good for looking up sites in Portugal...

Thanks Kelper, but Tomar is taking us out of the area we want to travel.
