Our dogs have sensitive tummies and after a lot of experimentation we found Chappie suits them just fine.

Normally we go to France for a couple of weeks and just take enough of it with us.

This year we will be going for 6 to 8 weeks which would mean carrying unfeasible amounts.

Does anyone know of a similar formula dog food availabile in France?

Many thanks
Dave

Is chappie tinned or dry.

Quality dog food is very expensive in France,70€ for 15 or 20 kg of dry complete.Tinned is not very common but again, can be expensive.

I think that Amazon sell it. If you're staying in the same place for a few days you could get it delivered maybe.

Your best bet would be to stay still for a week and buy from somewhere like Zooplus as the majority is shipped from Germany.
If you try Amazon someyhings are shipped from the UK and some from Paris depending on product and weight.

Delivery in France is nothing like as timely as the UK.

Dogs are natural scavengers they will eat anything if left alone    If a dog refuses to eat then leave the food it will eat when hungry   Dogs will take no harm if they have no food for a few days   They must have water however

Chappie is a Mars (Nestle) product. Perhaps it's worth an email to Mars (you'll probably find their contact details on your tins) to see if they produce and sell anything in France which is similar.

Royal Canin is a French dog food produced by Nestle, but it doesn't seem to come in tins.

Mars/Nestle produce and sell a whole variety of pet foods and in this country they are old under different names to those in France, but are in fact the same product.

There are several services such as Mouse to House that deliver your Tesco or Asda shopping to France. You have to sign up to the service, buy your shopping online, tell the supermarket to deliver to the M2H depot and arrange a delivery date and drop off point in France. Lots of ex-pats use it to get the little luxuries from home. They charge 20% on top of the shopping bill.

We feed our dog chappie and dry dog food at home, chappie keeps a dog "firm". When in France and Spain we just buy the supermarket stuff, Aldi and Lidl are preferred stores but any supermarket. Makes no difference to our dog, he is rescue so eats anything, I can appreciate your dog might be different. Best suggestion is take chappie with you and mix it with dry, would imagine it would be expensive and problematic to obtain chappie abroad.
