Roughly the same as the Allianz ones. For the price it seems good.

Very late contributing to this topic but in terms of pitch space, I think the more popular an area is the smaller the pitches (or so it seems).

Having travelled through many regions in France over 23years, I found the smallest ever pitches were in Annecy along the lakeside. There are many, many campsites along the the road towards Doussard. Teeny tiny pitches.

French sites tend to be well maintained, although I cannot comment on Brittany as this is a NO GO area for us...just not really France for me. I prefer undulating terrain and at least one historic site to visit. Burgundy, Provence and the Alps are favourites.

Happy exploring, you will find your Eden, there is something for everyones taste in France

Brittany is Brittany.
It undulates and also, believe it or not, has historic sites to visit. I suppose the Cathar region or maybe the Basque area is just not French enough for you either. Maybe Alsace?
The great thing about France is all the different regions that make it up. They are all French.

I don't bother, a it's pretty expensive and b most of them will not recover you from an autoroute, or even aid you in making your destination.

I just make sure the car has a good service before I set off, most breakdowns are fuel or battery related anyway....

Nobody, apart from the autoroute staff, can recover vehicles from the autoroute. They take it to the nearest garage area, from whence the commercial recovery companies collect.

Perhaps the Carnac Stones are too modern for you & Les Monts d'Arrée not rolling enough.

Every area has it's own French characteristics.

Nearly everything else is nouveau compared to places like Carnac or Lá Roche aux fees. Still opinions like hers means we get to enjoy Brittany in peace.

Hi Mucker

We've got less than a week to go before we travel to RCN La Ferme Du Latois. Really excited now :-)

I forgot to ask what are the EHU's there?

Are they standard blue connector or will we need a two pin adaptor?

Cheers

Oops! Only just seen this... after answering you in that other thread! Sorry!

Anyway... in case you see this before the other one... standard blue commando type plugs. 2 pin adaptor not required.
Just hope the site lives up to my billing, for you all!
Have a great time.

Hi Mucker thanks very much for all your help. Last panic question can you use a bar b q on site? I read somewhere that it was prohibited? Cheers Paul.

P.S. can you hold my hand all the way to the campsite LOL.

Hi Paul,
I honestly can't remember, as it's not something we usually bother with.
It's been 4 years since we were last there (Wow, doesn't time fly!), and we've been to a number of other French sites since.
Can't help with that one, I'm afraid.

You're on your own, I'm afraid... unless you hang on for two (and a bit) weeks, and I can meet you at the chunnel! LOL!

Enjoy... the "not knowing" is all part of the adventure!

Hi Mucker,

Well since I upgraded my trailer (x2 the size) I guess it won't hurt to take it. Hope you have a great holiday. I will certainly post some pics about our whole ordeal, I mean first time camping in France.

Thank you

Paul
