Its crazy over here, we have just had a week of 28-30 degrees in the middle of April. Water temp in surf 22-24 degrees. The trees are re flowering because they think its spring. Most of the state of NSW is in drought. But i get to go swimming every day.

We are in L'Estartit , Spain and it has rained for two days ...raining now. Spanish TV in restaurant last night was showing really bad flooding in some areas. A few days ago, in Frontignan, southern France we had torrential rain, caravan totally bogged down. Took me and 3 site staff 30 mins to get van off pitch.
Hopefully improving tomorrow.
Which site at L'Estartit? We been on La Sirena a few times like the site a lot, but it can flood near the wall that has the road running along side it. In Benidorm until start of May, at the moment sun is cracking the flags, dunno whether to go back to France or call in at L'Estartit, it will be a decision driven by the weather forecast.
Just back from a week at the municipal site at St-Jean-de-Losne, Côte-D'or. Blue skies, warm days, no rain all week Been able to walk dogs, cycle and explore on foot, a pleasure after such a miserable Winter and Spring.
Just back from a few days in the Lot & Dordogne valleys. Giving our new acquisition its first outing. Blue sky, 28C temp's and loads of people out enjoying themselves after a lousy winter and spring.
Just over three weeks to our next trip;- 10 days in Provence.
------------- If I had known how busy retirement would be, I'd have carried on working.

Is that `Les Herlequins`?
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Badger54, yes. Feeling very "start of season" but a few comings and goings. Restaurant popular with both visitors and locals, staff very pleasant and helpful. Think we might have to force ourselves to do a few more days there later.
Thanks for that, we are heading that way on Sunday so might check it out, we are often in the Beaune area. We will probably be at Vouecourt for a couple of days next monday, it seems to have become our stopover of choice on the way to Burgundy.
Badger54, thank you.If you walk up rue du Poncet and see a Hymer camper on the drive, the dogs are friendly, call in. Eiher way it would be nice to say bonjour.
Spent the last 5 weeks or so in Benidorm, the weather has still not bucked up. It has not been terrible, just not as full on as it could be. Been doing spring in Benidorm for the last 4 years and this has been the poorest weather. The local ex pats are all saying this has been the worst winter and spring weather. Even today is is not hot, very pleasant but not the full mediterranean sun and heat you expect to start coming in at the beginning of May end of April. We come in Spring and sometimes Autumn because we think the weather is at it,s best. Not this year, hey ho, always next year.
Hope the weather is good for you wherever you are.
