Hi all, does anyone happen to know if the ATM at the terminal dispenses Euros? the reason I am asking is my caravan is stored near St Omer and I'm going over tomorrow to pay the fee and he wants cash, it just saves me hunting around for an ATM before I get there

If you find yourself in a rush, you’ll be pleased to know that we also have cash points (ATMs) dotted around the Eurotunnel Le Shuttle Passenger Terminal Buildings. You can use most credit, debit, Maestro, and American Express cards with them, meaning you’ll be able to get out both euros and British pounds in a flash."
I used to have a Norwich & Peterborough current account which allowed using ATMs and purchases in the EU without any transaction fees (I believe I found the facility on this forum). Unfortunately, last year, N&P closed their current account banking and we have to get all our Euros this side of the channel and take them with us.
Bertie.

You can get a Halifax Clarity Credit Card and won’t be charged for credit card transactions, but don’t take cash from ATM’s with it.
We take minimal € in cash and use the CC for everything else.
We have a Post Office Credit card for things like petrol. No transaction fees.
A Nationwide debit card for the rest. No transaction fees.
And a Monzo prepaid card each because we're a little bit geeky. The Monzo cards only give you £200 a month free withdrawals now but apart from that are completely free and have a really nice app to keep track of your spends.
Never ever take more cash than you absolutely need. If you get your pocket picked you'll not be a happy bunny.
