Has anybody ever checked into the Eurotunnel the night before and got some shut eye before a early departure the next morning? We usually stay at Black horse but this year we’re going to set off late evening and hopefully get all the way to Folkestone.
Thanks
Simon
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Eurotunnel have a two hour allowance either side of your booking. I suppose it all depends whether they will allow you to check in and then go to the parking area, which incidentally has plenty of room. Why not give customer services a ring for advice?
You could change your crossing to a late evening one or during the night and stay at Cite Europe on the French side giving you an early start the following morning. There is generally no charge for transferring the time of a crossing.
Thanks guys, have you stayed at Cité Europe before with a caravan Val? I’ve seen plenty Motorhomes there and the odd caravan in the past. Is it easily accessible?
Thanks
Simon

we stayed on the cite Europe site, far too busy for me. better off finding somewhere else in my opinion, though I do agree it might be better to get over to france as soon as they allow you to and make camp on that side!
I don't think you could self check in more than 2 hours beforehand, maybe the manned kiosk could help, but changing the time beforehand would probably be best.
I would cross as soon as possible and sleep in France.
