We are off to Amsterdam in September and yet to book a site, does anyone have any suggestions of a site that’s easy access from the ferry terminal and a bike ride from Amsterdam itself.
It just needs to have a decent area for caravans and nice and quiet.
We are concerned about booking the wrong site that’s very lively with young groups of campers, previously heard horror stories about tents pitching very close to your unit.
Any recommendations would be great.

There are several sites all round the city.. Gaasper Camping on the south east side was fine and has more reviews on here than the others. Have a look at them. We didn't cycle into the city centre as it was just a short walk to a metro station and then took about 15 minutes by train.
We stayed at camping Het Rietveen in Landsmeer, reviews on here. It's about 10km cycle ride into Amsterdam, you go across on the free five minute ferry which brings you in right by the main train station. We really liked it here, small, quiet, nature reserve and lake adjacent. A couple of bars and restaurants in the village and a supermarket. Also bus into town if you want to use that.

We have just returned from a long trip through Holland, Germany and Poland and found that many sites were full in Holland. The third site we visited only had one pitch for one night! The Dutch love their camping.
So, I would highly recommend booking a pitch, which is not something we would normally do in low season.
You need to book Holland will be very busy. We know Dutch people and they told us don't go between June and August without a booked site. I booked our site last November.
