I came across these JML Arctic air Coolers on the internet the other day and was wondering if anyone has got one or know someone who has one. I would be very interested in your thoughts on them. I cannot imagine them being brilliant but if they cooled the van down a bit in Southern France, I may be interested. Will look forward to anyone’s reviews. Thanks

Don't have one, would spend more money for something decent, but having read the US reviews

I have a cooler that works that way, has a reservoir bottle which soaks the wicks, this can then be refilled and will empty as the water gets used. Ice cubes can be added to further pull down the temp. Air conditioner they are not, reduce the ambient temperature in the van they do, but not to aircon temps. Wife says fan too noisy, but after last year, it's coming with us and going to be used, even if at other end of van away from bed.
