Hi we’re looking at a 2/3 night stop around this area on our way back from our holiday in the south on the way to Calais. I have looked on google and other sites but just wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations in this area. We will be camping and 2 adults/2 children. Ideally we would like the site to have a pool and things to do in the area. It will be the middle of August when we arrive, thank you

We've stayed here for 2 weeks a couple of years ago, it wasn't in school holidays tho so no idea what it would be like in school hols.

Our pitch was about 50ft from the beach, which was great, but then it was quite a walk to toilets etc.
We were next to the beach, plus there is an indoor pool, you can walk into the town, where there are lost of cafe's and bars.

We stayed at Camping de la Vallee in Houlgate. Great site for families and walking distance to the town and beach. Have a look at my review.

we have just come back from camping de la vallee in houlgate, the site itself was great. pools are fantastic , food an bar are a good price.

My husband wants to visit the beaches round that area as he’s interested in the history of it all so we’re tagging a couple of days into the end of our holiday to do it. We’ve been to France now for the last 6 years and always like to get off the main routes and explore
