Hi,
Looking for recommendations for sites around the Calvados/Pays d'Auge areas please?

Generally prefer municipals but just generally fairly low key sites, rather than big holiday parks. OH would like a riverside and/or chateau if possible for peaceful evenings of cheese and wine consumption! (We've clearly been spoilt by some gems on the side of the Loire!) I have more modest criteria - just decent shower/loo facilities, not unisex.

We've got details of the Falaise site but would like to have a look at some others around the area. We have stayed many times at Camping St Nicolas at Le Bec Hellouin, we love it and will probably end up there at some point, if only for David's amazing moules frites, but looking a little further west for a few days this time.

No direct experience of them, but the municipal at Vimoutiers is well regarded, and from the on line photos the municipal at Livarot looks attractive to me. Go explore!

The Falaise site is lovely with ace views of the castle. We luckily caught a gala type weekend, whilst staying there, with various re-enactments etc...lots of fun!

It may be a little out of your planned way but what about Les Andelys? Again there's a castle (Gaillard) close by.
