Please help...looking for two good sites for camping for adults and a dog that we can base ourselves at to explore the black Forest.... would like to visit Baden Baden and typical black forest countryside and villages.
Lakeside and or pool would be nice. Probably 3 nights on each. Must have decent toilet facilities...
Thanks

In another survey, 10% of the men questioned preferred women with thin thighs, 15% preferred thick thighs, the rest preferred something in between!

It's got decent web reviews and was recommended to us by a German family we met two years ago whom we've kept in contact with. Toilet facilities seem to be hotel class.
I'll add a review on our return, although that may be too late for you, not sure when you're travelling.
Not sure if they accept tents?
Was a bit of a nightmare to get a pitch - it seems pretty solidly booked up - which I guess is a good sign that it's a good site?
That looks good...please add comments when you return.

Last year we stayed at Camping Kinzigtal in Steinach.
The site was nicely situated on the edge of the village and there were good restaurants there.
It has the municipal swimming pool right next door.
One of the bonuses was that we were all given a Konus Card which gave us free use of buses and trains in the Black Forest. We used the trains extensively as the Black Forest Line is spectacular and featured in Michael Portillo's excellent show.
------------- I can remember when this was all fields.

We stayed at Camping Münstertal a few years ago, toilet facilities and showers are first class, outdoor and indoor pool. They do take tents, and pitches are large. Take rock pegs as the ground is too hard for plastic pegs. Train station just outside camp entrance. You will be given a . KONUS card
for guests, a free ride ticket for buses and trains throughout the holiday region of the Black Forest. If you visit Staufen which is the next town I can recommend Alter Simpl for food and a beer, really enjoyed the Rosti there.

Hi, we are driving down to Croatia and want to stop over in this area. Do they have a system as France with municipal campsites, or is it advised to find one and pre book.
Thank you

Everything madasaman said. Ground is extremely hard, maybe due to abnormally hot weather. Bent three rock pegs.... facilities are first class... train station a bonus, two local trains an hour, all FOC. Totally recommend. Full review on return to UK.
