Hi there,
Looking for feedback from anyone who has travelled the new Brittany Ferries Cork Santander route this year.
How basic is it? Is it more for freight than holiday passengers? Any info appreciated.

It gets good reviews on boards.ie. No frills but decent food they are saying. Supposedly it is similar to the stena horizon that goes to Cherbourg. The boardsies said the cabins were grand.

Well you will be sleeping and eating for quite a bit of that. There isn't any entertainment.
Whale watching? We saw lots of Dolphins on the Cherbourg to Roslaire crossing this year

We've done the Plymouth Santander crossing a couple of times ... quite enjoyed the 'mini-cruise' ... if the weather is fine, just grab a deckchair, good book and a G&T!
We also did the Rosslare/St Nazaire/Gijon route (when it was running four years ago) ... a pretty basic ship ... had a cinema (well, dvd screen!) ... we took a few games to play, too.
Frankly ... comparing extra time on a ship, with however frugal amenities, compared to being cooped up in a car for many extra hours ... no brainer?
So long as finances can cope ...
