Hi, I'm looking for a recommendation for a 4/5 star site on the Med coast between Montpellier/The Camargue and the Spanish border. Kid friendly, good water park, visited by UK families (we have a 6 year old who needs to make friends). Thanks for any suggestions.

As far as I am aware the French count SE France as the area from The Camargue, through provence to the Italian border. But to avoid any confusion - a campsite in the Languedoc-Rousssillon region be that classed as S or SE or SW
Although we haven't stopped there, I would look at Argeles sur Mer. There are a number of sites and the whole place bustles and looks to be family friendly.

The area around Sete has several good camping sites ... and the town is fun.
We haven't camped much down that stretch of coast ... Narbonne and Perpignan ... but no sites that would fit your bill.
Hope someone with more experience comes along soon.
If you are within reach of either/both the little yellow train or the little red train ... they are great day trips and lots of fun for kids (yellow especially with all the tunnels in the open carriage).
Cayola near Portiragnes Plage is good, got a great pool & slide complex, and a good amusement park a couple of miles away in Vias (think it's called Europark). Not a huge number of English on the site though, more Dutch & French.

Le Haras, Palau Del Vidre. Definitely child friendly, good mixture of Brits, Dutch and French. Pool rather than a water park but children of all ages seem to have a whale of a time on it. Site beautiful laid out.
About 5 miles to the nearest beach.
