Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
The country or the city?
We have been a couple of times, staying at Diekirch. Its a very nice country, safe, clean and friendly people.
There is Luxembourg city itself, Military museum at Diekirch and in nearby Bastogne,(battle of the bulge).
Short trips to Germany Trier or Bitburg to name a couple.
LOts of pretty villages in Luxembourg itself.

Hi, the campsite at Saarburg, just across the German border looks interesting, we are planning to stay there on our way back up from southern France.
There are 3 sites in Saarburg. We always stay at Camping Waldfrieden or Leukbachtal which is very convenient for the modern shopping centre, or walking into town.
Some excellent places to eat in town too. Especially recommend Altstadt Eck. If you like you can buy an unlimited rail pass for around €35 for up to 5 people for the entire Saarland and Rhineland Pfalz area for 1 day. If you wanted you could travel as far as Saarbruken or Trier, down the Mosel to Koblenz and along the Rhine to Mainz.
------------- Two drifters off to see the world.
I'm tired of reality, so I'm off to look for a good fantasy.

We went a few years ago now, pretty much everywhere we went did not disappoint. Vianden being especially lovely. Have a lovely time.
Second vote for vianden was there a couple weeks ago,
Diesel is super cheap! Lovely area, we visited the water tower at berdoff, and the Roman villa in echternach (free with a fantastic playpark opposite for kids)
Only there three nights could have easily stayed longer in the area.
