Next year we are hoping to take our touring van plus daughter and grandchildren in their large tent to France.
Does any one know of a seaside site in Normandy where we could be pitched together?
Thanks for any help.

I would guess that however large the pitch, a tourer, plus a large tent, plus (presumably) 2 cars will make any pitch cramped. We have often seen family members with adjacent pitches and small children running between them very happily. It ensures a little privacy for both sets of adults too!
Depending on the ages of the children and the dates you travel, booking ahead may be advisable. However, outside the high season you would probably be OK just turning up.

Most will allow an additional pup tent but not a large tent. A typical 80-100 metre pitch would be too small anyway. Next rip to France we will be taking the Alaska and the two man force ten. Kids in the force ten for sleeping and their stuff in the Alaska. Anything bigger than the force ten won't work.

We normally travel to normandy with a motorhome towing a folding camper. On site we get two pitches, normally side by side, one for my daughter and family to stay in the folding camper, the other for us in the motorhome. Using acsi cards make it cheaper, in the low season. The advantage is that we can spread out, with an event shelter between the two pitches for dining under.
Just to add that we use camping cote de nacre, in st aubin sur mer. Our grandchildren have been coming there for about ten years and don’t want to go anywhere else.
