We used Camping Belsito above Montecatini Therme a few years ago. Quiet site, well equipped, good views. Drive to town, park, then train to Florence and other places. It depends on the size of your motorhome. Not sure about buses.

Volterra - Camping Balse:http://www.campinglebalze.com
Really great place to base yourself to tour TUSCANY. We visited Florence, Siena and San Gimignano from Volterra. Great site out of town.
We parked in PONTEDERA and went into Florence via Train. If you visit SAN G, be careful NOT to choose the market day it is so crowded and parking is a nightmare. Same with Siena.....

Favourite areas: Provence, French Alps, Savigny (as a stop over for Southern France: Rhein valley as a stop over for Italy. 78

I loved camping parc albatross, yes it is big, but spotless, with really nice faciliites
