Hi All, Can anyone recommend a caravan site within easy distance of the theme park Le Puy de Fou? We visited some years ago on our own, and want to take our grandson (11) before he gets too jaded and teenagery! We are thinking of taking the ferry to St Malo and spending a few days in the park, and maybe delve into the local area too. Any advice always welcome. (And any codes for Britanny Ferries for April crossing would be greatly appreciated).

La Breteche is the nearest but the outdoor pool might not tempt your grandson in April. Le Rouge Gorge has an indoor pool but is 10km away. Lots of other possibilities on line but check campsite opening dates for an April visit. Code sent to you by e mail.
Hi,
We have stayed at two sites near Puy du Fou and we are really happy with the le Vallee du Poupet camping. It is about 10 minutes away but is perfectly hidden and very nice. It not a huge campsite and it has a large heated pool, lovely walks, nice pitches and they are very welcoming. We did have a problem with the flies but we were next to a river, so we will be taking a mesh-sided gazebo for when we are having our evening meals. Puy du Fou is now epic in size and attractions, so get there early, take a packed lunch (buy the bread at the bakery there) and take bottled water and sunscreen, you will have loads of fun. Also, you get a discount if you buy online with an open-ended ticket for the season, in case you don't make the day you have booked. We find two days helps you get to see all the sites.
have fun.

I love Puy du Fou. We spent three days there last summer and my teenage son and I are returning this summer for a post exam treat as he loved it. Well worth doing more than one day if you can. A three day pass doesn't add much more to the price. We are staying at La Breteche this year.
