I’m after recommendations - I’ve booked a ferry for Easter week to Holland and we fancied going to visit Utrecht can anyone recommend any campsites and things to do near that area. I’ve found one in Bunnik called Buitengoed de Boomgaard has anyone camped here before!?!
Thanks in Advance
Sarah
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Watching with interest! Was looking at sites within commuting distance of Amsterdam, and found Camping Batenstein in Woerden. It’s a 15min walk to the station, and 11 min express train journey to Utrecht. (17mins on local train). Going to Amsterdam in a hotel next week, and never been to NL before, but like the Dutch people we’ve met.
Thete are several good campsites at Amsterdam itself - with easy bus, bike or metro into the city. And for the OP who wants to visit Utrecht it's under half an hour by train. Holland is so easy.
We stayed here about 4 years ago, nice site but very quiet, it's about half an hour walk for someone with a gammy foot to walk through the site to the train station at Maarn, from there you can get a train to Utrecht, change at Utrecht for Amsterdam.
De Boomgaard is a very nice campsite, near the Motorway.at the end of the campsite there is a big tent for weddings but most of the time the party stop at midnight.
i prefere more the smaller campsites
