I am probably way behind the times here as the last time I used Camping Cheques was about 5 years ago. I want to use a particular site that advertises that it accepts Camping Cheques. Can you still get them, is the company still going and if you can how do you go about it now.

Afraid you cannot buy any more - although anyone with credits on a Camping Cheque gold card can find sites which will accept them - for this year only. Their website these days is called Camping Travel Club .

Thanks David, already with ACSI but unfortunately they don't deal with the site, so, I guess I will just have to pay full price & that kills me!

The Camping Cheque scheme has changed to a pre pay system. You can load your card with money, which is then used in similar chunks as ACSI.

If the site is still part of the the scheme,then you
will probably pay in line with the ACSI level of discount.

Which site did you have in mind for 2019?

Looking at L'Ocean, Couarde-sur-Mer on the Ile de Re. Last time we went was about 3 years ago and camping cheques were still in full flow.

Stuart you can no longer put any credits on to a Silver or Gold Card, only use up what existing credits you have at the limited number of sites still accepting them.
