Hi all,
Touring France again this year and wondered if any of you could recommend small caravan sites, with fishing lakes on them.
We like the CL types but like the shower facilities etc.
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
It all depends where in France you want to go, but one possibility in the Charente Maritime is Camping Twin Lakes. Details and reviews are on here already
Have a look at Forest View, near Dorceau, Normandy. Nice site run by really nice English couple. Good facilities, pleasant surroundings. A lot of the Brits go there just for the carp fishing. I saw some 20 pounders plus being caught. I didn't see anything other than carp being caught, but that was all they were specifically fishing for. I was assured that there were fish like tench there. It looked an idyllic sort of place to fish. If you get the right pitch, you can sit in front of your caravan and dangle your maggot.
