On the other side of empty,if you want full on French miserable experience,go shopping after lunch on Saturday.
or Tesco on a Saturday morning
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
We had the situation in France when a not so obviously pregnant young lady flounced in front of us and unloaded her not so numerous goods for scanning.
I explained to SWMBO (who doesn't speak french but can be fluent in pseudo Anglo Saxon) that the aisle was priority for pregnant persons.
"Is she pregnant" asked SWMBO.
"Probably not" I replied, "But she might get lucky tonight"

One thing puzzles me - all these people who do their shopping at lunch/dinner time. When do they actually eat?
On holiday we usually rise late (and therefore breakfast late). As a consequence, lunch is late too!
