We’re planning to stay here on Wednesday night on our journey south. There does not seem to be a booking facility so is it a case of just turning up? If reception is closed for lunch do we just pitch up and book in later?

You need a code to get through the very large electric gate.

Should also say we have been using it for years and just book through email.

In low season it's the sort of site where we would just turn up. . If reception was closed we would look for instructions on the office door and possibly a bell to ring. If there were none and there was a barrier closed we would ask another camper who was already there for the code to go in.
