A quick question to those of you presently in France - what is the attitude of the French to Brits in the light of our trying to leave the club?

Is there any adverse change in their demeanour , ie over zealous traffic cops, unhelpful reception staff / supermarket / restaurant staff?

Has anyone encountered a change in treatment of us, or is it just business as usual?

Mate, come on down. We Aussies still love ya.

Now we know how bad things are...the aussies are able to feel superior to us

We cant help it if we live in Gods country. And soon you folks will be buying all that we have to share. And we have plenty. Here is a example of the cost of fuel. 70p a litre for the good fuel. Just let me know when you are coming SG and ill put the jug on.

Wow Mick, that's an eye opener, just 74p for unleaded at some of the Coles supermarket chain stores.

Not noticed any difference, we were actually in France when the results came out.
We were chatting with a Belgian guy at a service area who thought it was a daft decision!
We told him we that we voted to remain, but we accepted the democratic decision!
Wish the muppets in Westminster would do a deal so we can get on with life!
Seems nothing much else is being done.

Goodmorning 664DaveS, great to hear that your coming BACK. Im actually going to Perth on 25th May to see my old man who moved over there last year.
Ive just come back from my morning's swim and the ocean is about 22 degrees and sensational.

In all seriousness, Dont know if uuou get much news about AUS but its been hot and dry. Most of East Coast Of Australia is in drought and conditions for the poor farmers are devastating and loss of livestock from drought and then a huge rain event in northern Queensland killed millions of animals.
But hopefully it will rain soon. WA i think is in the same situation, but we are a optimistic people and it can only get better.
So bring a few of your fellow Englishmen and women with you down ggor a holiday.
Regards
Mick

We have had 4 extended trips to Aus, and have now done every State. I don’t really have a favourite as they are all amazing, but for those, including us, who think Europe is good, go and have a tour of Australia. It has to be the ultimate touring destination.

WA is awesome, we love the area south of Perth.

Sorry OP.

The only Australian state we have not visited is Tasmania!
I definitely recommend the Indian Pacific train from Perth to Adelaide, and the Ghan from Adelaide to Darwin or the other way,we did both, one in 2015 second in 2016.
Great way to see the country.
Both trips had a month in hired motorhome as well as rail and air trips.

Tasmania is well worth a visit, such contrasting scenery.

We've lived out here since last July and everyone has been very amicable.

Slightly more concerned about coming back to Britain in a car with french number plates.

But only slightly.

When in central Paris a couple of weeks ago I needed a new tyre on my trailer and called a mobile tyre fitter. When he arrived he quickly realised he'd brought the wrong tyre and so he explained and apologised to me and phoned a colleague to bring one out to him. Whilst waiting for the collegue, he took me and my colleague to a very nice nearby cafe for croissants and coffee.

So, nothing's changed.

Place the boot on the other foot. If France voted to leave the EU, would anyone here change their attitude towards them.......I know I wouldn’t, I love France and the French people whatever the EU situation is.
