We are looking ahead to August 2020 and a trip to the Ardeche.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a site to suit two teens (14 & 17) that's not too big, or too noisy?
Our two are not overly sporty but enjoy canoeing, water parks. Not hugely keen on discos etc but would make friends easily.

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
we returned three times, to Domaine de Gill at Ucel close to the Spa town of Val Les Bains which is just under a two mile walk from the campsite gates.
From Val Les Bains you can get the bus into the main town of Aubenas around 4 miles away, 1€ for the return bus ride.
When we were there in 2009, Aubenas was at the end of a Tour de France stage 23/24 July, what a fantastic day that was, and to top it all Mark Cavendish won the stage.
My teens loved any riverside site in the Ardeche - where they spent hours just messing about on the river. They preferred L'Ardechois at Vallon Pont d'Arc (there are two L'Ardechois campsites!). But they also liked Le Provencal which was next door. They don't have 'water parks' as such, but decent pools. Ranc Davaine at St Alban Auriolles has a full-on water park, but is a full-on site too. We took my son and his friend, aged 18, when he was on his way to a site in Argeles sur Mer as courier with Canvas Holidays. There is also Le Clapas, opposite, which is much quieter but doesn't have a pool.
Have you looked at any sites, and got questions about them - we've stayed at plenty of others over the years and still store our caravan on a campsite in the Ardeche.
hi val we stayed at ranc davaine for a few days 2 years ago, it was bad enough that we moved on down to la yole as unfortunately my daughters boyfriend got mugged by some french travellers staying on site, as it happened the guy was in the queue for pizza the next day and was recognised, anyway long story but we reported to police had to make statements etc, dont think reception wanted to get involved as there were a number of them camped next to the river, but the staff kept coming up to us to say well done as they must have making a menace for sometime, the dutch eurocamp rep was brilliant and even came with us to make statement
that aside i would recommend le mondial right on the river in vallon
Another site you might like to look at is Les Cascades at La Roque sur Ceze - not quite the Ardeche but on the next river south, the Ceze. A reasonable site, but adjacent to the most fantastic pools and natural stone flumes.
Other sites mentioned in my posts (above) as I couldn't do links this morning:
Thank you Val - that’s most helpful. I’ll take a look.
I seem to remember you kindly recommended Le Paradis in Saint Leon Sur Vezere to us a few years ago. We booked and we loved it! This time we’d like to explore a new area.
As well is two words!
