Due to circumstances beyond our control for the first time in over 20 years we cant take our own tent to France this summer ... I am keen to try a pre-erected tent or mobile home in the south brittany area. Friends of ours go to Le letty at the end of Aug and we fancy jining them- they are sure there are safari tents there but I cant find details on their website??? Any help with this will be much appreciated.
But failing that any recommendations for nice quiet-ish site small pool, football pitch for teen son, walk to beach or bar/restaurant with Mobil-homes/pre-erects would be great too!!!

Looking forward to next year when we are able to take OUR BABY again!!

As nanashirley says, click on pitches and scroll down, they have canvas lodges which are the same as safari tents from 500 euros pw, also have sited touring caravans for hire.

Nothing at all wrong with pre-erected tents. I suspect that many of us who started in Europe in the 1970's used companies which provided tents on European campsites. We used Eurocamp, Canvas Holidays, and others, for several years before buying our own equipment.

Much prefer my own gear & motor but we've eurocamped a few times over the years when destination deemed too far to drive in time available.

We hired Keycamp pre erected tents 25 years ago - fantastic times with the kids that led to our ongoing obsession with France.
Don’t be surprised if you ditch your own tent and do the same next year.
Today’s bungalows and safari tents look fantastic.

When we had our second child we started using Eurocamp as we simply didn't have enough room in the car for all the camping gear - plus pushchair etc.

As the internet became more widespread we then started booking mobile homes direct with sites.

When the eldest stopped coming with us we went back to camping with our own gear again and continued when the youngest stopped - although we'd often continue to book mobile homes as well - especially the times we went to Italy.

Now we live in France.
