We are thinking of venturing into Germany for the first time this summer spending one week somewhere in the Moselle Valley and another week at Lake Konstanz. Although I've been able to find quite a bit of information here about sites on the banks of the Moselle there are fewer reviews of sites at Lake Konstanz (or Bodensee to give it the correct German name) and the ones I can find are all from quite a few years ago.
Has anyone stayed at a site recently, preferably on the banks of the lake, which you would recommend? We are happy with any size of site as we are hoping the bigger ones will be much quieter in early September anyway.
Thanks in advance

We stayed at Kapingplatz Horn which was lovely. It’s quite a large site but separated into smaller areas - if you look at it on Google maps you’ll see. The restaurant was very good.
Many years ago we stayed at a campsite at Lindau. It was an overnight, so the only thing I truly remember is that the facilities were heated....Must have been ok though, I'd remember if it was bad.

We stayed on 3 sites. 2 on the German side just below Konstanz but found the pitches very scruffy and cramped but sanitaires fabulous. The best site was just over the border into Switzerland just can’t think of the names off the top of my head.

We camped at Bodensee, near the Zeppelin Museum (Fredrichshaven?). What stands out for me is that several of the camp sites made tent campers leave their cars in a central corral or car park, and then you had to manhandle your kit to the site. A proper PITA.

That would be great thank you. We'll not reach there until last week of August most probably so will keep an eye out for your review.
Can I ask if you picked it for any particular reason over the other ones around the lake?
We were looking for a decent site (pool etc) in that area we could book for 3 nights. This is a rest / chill out stop mid way through 2 and a half week motorhome tour. This limited our choice somewhat as many wouldn't take bookings or only for a min. of 7 nights. Eurocamp use this one so, whilst not infallible, is usually a good sign if looking for a site with facilities and activities for children.
