I've just emailed Les Cent Vignes the municipal site in Beaune about availability in August. They've sent me a form which says the maximum length of a caravan is 5.85m - which I think is very short. I'm guessing they aren't out with a tape measure (!) but just wondered if anyone has had any issues with the size of their van/pitches on this site? We have a Bailey Phoenix which isn't a long van but certainly a bit longer than they are mentioning.

It's a few years since we were there, but at that time there were a variety of pitches. Some appeared to be 'drive through'. The one we had was off a narrow alley so might not be suitable for a car and caravan. However I wouldn't want to risk getting there and finding all the large pitches taken.
I've just booked there for end of Aug for an overnight stop and they were fine with our van being 6.92m. I'm sure that the last time we stayed there we had our twin axle too....again no problem. I will email them again to check just in case, and let you know what they say!

We have stayed at the campsite 3 times in a camper 7m long. As previously reported there are different size pitchs. Whilst we were there i seen some big vans come in. But I'll give youva tip. Get there early.

We have ALWAYS stayed at the campsite in Savigny les Beaune in preference.
This was a municipal back in 2002, now privately owned and renamed Le Premier Pres.
Savigny is beautiful, it is only 2k from a huge E L'clerc, with petrol and just off the motorway.
Savigny is a villages fleurie and is beautifuly situated.
Check it out for you caravan.

Hi
I am looking to stay on Beaune municipal later this year and now have a twin axle van. Just wonder if you know if there was any problem withtwin axle outfits.
Our previous van was 7.5m so the new one at 7.8 is not that much bigger
Thanks
