Hello fellow motor homers 👍, looking for a decent site near Antwerp, with transport links to city as don’t fancy driving into low emission zone. There are 2 listed but in reviews not quite suitable for variety of reasons. Now looking at 20 mile radius with transport links. Any offers appreciated. Got many links but recommendations always welcome.

I was going to suggest the Motorhome aire by the youth hostel in Brussels and then take the train to Antwerp, but you would have to go through the formalities of registering your vehicle to go into the Brussels traffic area, and it's a bit beyond your 20 mile limit although the rail service is good.
Appreciate your comments on this and will look into cost of trains for 3 or 4 days for Antwerp visits. Probably prefer nearby Leuven if going to train into Antwerp each day as lot nicer by all accounts than busy Brussels.
Thanks for that doortje, contemplated that from ACSI book but having read pretty awful reviews on that site going to pass on it !
Probably stay at the Vogelzanglaan by the Antwerp expo.
Better of the 2 evils going by all reviews. Just dosnt seem anything decent in the area as intending 3/4 days visiting Antwerp so although we are self sufficient it would be nice to charge the Electrical’s at some point.
There is an aire in Temse, about 20 km SW of Antwerp just off the road from Ghent. It has room for about 20 MH`s and is at one end of a car park adjacent to the police station, within an easy stroll to a supermarket and is very quiet. We have overnighted there a couple of times and it has easy access and is well looked after. There is water available and you can also dump waste water, the pitches are all level and the cost is 8 euros a night if you want EHU, 2 euros if you don`t.
You can also get the train from the town into Antwerp.
Hi badge 54, this sounds just the ticket. Do you know if I could stay for 3 nights, leaving the van there and visiting Antwerp each day. ? Or is there a ‘kicking out’ time !

Badge 54, that makes my day now, my wife has packed 48 tins of anchovies to accompany our meals and I said there’s got to be an Aldi or Lidl’s somewhere nearby!!
One last request, do you know if the train goes direct to Antwerp or have to change at St-Niklaas.
Yes, looking forward to the next 12 months on the road, xmas in Sicily.
