Have a look at Via Michelin. They will show you the various options (or "alternative options" as Jeremy Vine says)and give you costs. I guess that costs will probably vary a bit next year (cost of fuel and tolls may change), but it will give you a guide. If you will be towing, you can select this on Via Michelin.

We use:

Calais to Abbeville (toll), then the free autoroute A28 towards Rouen, but avoid central Rouen by sticking to the east bank of the Seine towards Pont de l'Arche, then Evreux, Dreux, Chartres, Orleans, Vierzon and then either the A20 via Toulouse, or the A71/A75 via Clermont Ferrand and Millau. Both these have some free stretches, then once you're at Narbonne use the A9 down into Spain.

You can calculate the costs using Viamichelin. If you input your car details (and select caravan) it will calculate both the fuel costs and the toll costs. Alternatively you can select the non-toll option.

We have a house near to Narbonne and use a non-toll route to get here each time because the costs of tolls mount up when you're doing the journey four or five times each way, each year!

Obviously non-toll routes can take longer - but overall we manage to get down to our house from Yorkshire with just one overnight stop south of Rouen, and then a long day the following day - but we're not towing any more as we store the caravan in France.

Good map, but the road south from Limoges to Toulouse and over the Pyrenees skirting but avoiding Andorra could well be included too.

just returned back from that very trip,
used the same route as val A suggested,
tunnel to Calais , Abbeville Rouen ,chartres, orleans ,Clermont ferrand, Millau ,beziers, into spain then blanes. stopped at bella terra for 4 weeks, had a brilliant time.
fuel cost may shock you ,I used 100 gallon at £7 a gallon
so 700 quid from Barnsley and back, at 19'6 miles to the gallon "petrol".
stu

Less with diesel, but not a cheap trip any more. So even more reason to avoid tolls!

We done this trip about 4 years ago. We went down the west side of France and stayed in Biarritz (visited San Sebastian and Santander) and then drove across to near Perpignan and straight down into Blanes.

Hubby had his photo taken when he was a teenager outside a campsite and wanted to recreate this some many years later! And we did!

We stayed at Camping La Masia for a week and loved it there.
