Really nice campsite in Angers near the lake, they even have red squirrels.

The nearby alternatives a little further out of town and their review scores listed on here look attractive to me .

We’re currently at Camping La Promenade, Montjean-sur-Loire (closes at the end of the week), about 18 miles from Angers. Easy drive in (via motorway or not) or there are a few trains a day from the station (with free parking) in the little town 3 miles away. Highly recommend the site (details and reviews on here).

We checked out that restaurant while out on a little bike ride on Sunday afternoon - the smells as we cycled past were extremely appetising! May fit in a lunch sometime this week!
