Can anyone recommend a campsite in or near Angers, in France?
Thanks
We stayed at Camping du Lac de Maine last October and its in a great spot. There is public transport 200m from camp. It was very quiet when we stayed. Great showers and toilets. And it was a acsi campsite as well. Friendly staff. Great spot
We’re currently at Camping La Promenade, Montjean-sur-Loire (closes at the end of the week), about 18 miles from Angers. Easy drive in (via motorway or not) or there are a few trains a day from the station (with free parking) in the little town 3 miles away. Highly recommend the site (details and reviews on here).
Agree with bofs above re Promenade. New pool planned for next year too. Existing pool is lovely but across a road. New one will be integrated in the site (near present kids play area.) ACSI too.
Be sure to visit lovely restaurant just across the Loire Link here
Tell Bruno or Clarisse that Eddie from Scotland made the recommendation.

We checked out that restaurant while out on a little bike ride on Sunday afternoon - the smells as we cycled past were extremely appetising! May fit in a lunch sometime this week!
We stayed at Slow Camp in Les Ponts de Ce...new site, as it had been a municipal.
huge pitches - HUGE pitches and lovely lodges. Only around 4 k from Angers.
Beautiful communal area, nice sanitaires, next door to a small town.
I posted the site to add here in September, but not sure it is listed yet...
Anyway, beauty is that it is next door to an enormous natural (I think) municipal pool...Which was empty when we stayed in August! Plus a fab outdoor bar overlooking the river, with live and very nice music, folk, guitar, Latin...so lots of the locals hang out there.
