I'm looking at Gruissan as a possible destination for next summer. I can't see anything under the campsite reviews section, so just wondering if anyone has any opinions on the area or any campsite recommendations.
Walking distance of beach and a pool on site are probably the most important factors for the campsite and we will be going in the school holidays with 2 tween/teenage boys. A decent pitch size (100m2) would be good too.
Thanks.

We have a house in the Aude and often go down to Gruissan for the market, a meal out, and a day of bird-watching. I'm not quite sure why you've chosen it as a destination which would appeal to teenagers, though (*it would be interesting to know why it appeals to you!). There is a municipal site in Gruissan itself, but it isn't one that teenage boys would appreciate. There are other sites along Narbonne Plage, which might have more appeal but I have to say that Narbonne Plage also wouldn't be on my 'first choice' list for tween/teenagers and none of the sites get really good reviews on Trip Advisor. This all sounds very negative, and yet Gruissan is one of our favourite days out, but then we're a great deal older and want different things.
Thanks for the reply. My teenage boys would be happy anywhere so long as they have their phones! :-(
We're looking for a site within walking distance of a town and a beach and Gruissan looked like a decent little town with a harbour etc. The boys aren't really into the whole campsite entertainment thing and would rather have a town to explore than an entertainment packed campsite which is near nothing but sand dunes which seems to be the case for a lot of that stretch of the Med. We have stayed a few times further towards Spain, in Sainte Marie la Mer, which suited us well but are looking for a change of scene.
Any recommendations of suitable towns would be appreciated, although I am turning my thoughts to Spain now.....
I'll leave answers to that question to people with teenagers, who might be able to suggest more appropriate destinations, but perhaps it might be better to post again asking for recommendations for destinations with teenagers. If people aren't familiar with Gruissan than they're less likely to read your post and respond.
I still love Gruissan, and it will still be a favourite day out for us!
