Well with an election coming up in a couple of weeks and a potential Brexit not far off it probably makes sense to get as many bookings in as early as possible.
I did read in a magazine i get that euro tunnel has been hit by quite a big reduction in customers and maybe thats why its a bit earlier it was only to be expected with all the uncertainty
