Have you read these previous posts about Scandinavia. They might help, and it might help to use the search facility on here for posts about the specific countries you're travelling through.

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!

Peter Weston, An ambitious trip although going Harwich- Hook of Holland overnight would save you 150 miles each way compared with going via Calais.

no can do i aam affraid, we have a dog with us that does not do alone in car ferries very well. we have tried that rouite once and its quicker for us to travel to calais and back up as we beat the ferry.

i would have loved the old ferry route from new castle to bergan but thats long gone and theres no ferrys higher than hook of holland any more. which would make a considerable difference to the drive.

we did look at spliting the holiday so three weeks in spring and three weeks in autum and store the caravan up there, but that only works if we fly back and there return that way, again old dog and us not willing to try.
so we have decided, this year the top half and next year the lower half.

we can get either march or april or sept oct off, as we would struggle in the cold snow of a late spring we have decided to go after the main season has finished instead
