Thinking of using Municipal site at Falaise in June 2020. Has anyone been to this site in the last 2 years or so? If so can you give an opinion on it. It sounds good but the review was in 2015.

If this is the Camping MUNICIPAL LE CHATEAU at Falais I believe it is now in private hands. There is a review on here for this site for 2019

Can recommend this site at Falaise as a stop over. Can get crowded with people using the site as a last stop b/4 the ferry. Pitches are not large but adequate and the sanitary block is a little dated but clean, tidy and hot showers. WiFi is just ok. Not a bad walk into the town which can be interesting especially the visit to William the conqueror’s castle. Best pitches are by the little stream and we got good tv reception. All in all not a bad site and is ACSI too!

Have a look at www.camping-falaise.com. There are also some reviews on the ACSI website. Apparently, the toilets/showers have been updated. We stayed there in 2017 and enjoyed our stay. The Falaise Gap museum is a short drive away and well worth a visit.

As stated in a previous post we stayed a few days on the Falsies site last June,yes it has been privatised.Last June when we were there quite a few hard standing pitches, rather like aire pitches, and major refurbishment of the toilets.If you was thinking of going to the Falsies Gap museum,alas it is now closed.If you are interested the New D day museum near Omaha beach, have acquired some of the exhibits good camping Arthur
