Currently storing in Brittany but now thinking of doing Charente Maritime area. Could do with nice site (NOT busy type with pools, waterslides, burger bar and loads of statics) which does year round storage. Be nice to be able to send email and arrive with caravan on pitch or be able to drive not too far from storage pitch. Covered storage preferred but might be too costly. I'm okay with towing but could do without the hassle and wife gets stressed about it (must be my driving!).

At a storage facility near Dinan - less than half an hour from St. Malo. It's covered storage, but open fronted. Last time I was there in September, it looked pretty full, but I think there might be spaces for exterior storage.
Thanks Kelper, it's too far from where I want to go. Hope I can find one at that price.
Mike3003 if you wanted to give them a try, it's La Tarais Gites Dinan.
Their website seems closed at the moment but I can find you an email address if you want to pursue it. I think it's 250 euros p.a. for the semi covered storage. It has new owners and I beleive they don't speak English, but have someone to translate for them. Doesn't compare to the place Kelper uses but it's handy for St Malo.
What it costs is easily saved on ferry fares and you don't have the aggravation of towing on our congested roads. Not for everybody though as there are people who like to take the odd holiday in the UK.
I've just been quoted 340 euros p.a. for exterior storage in the Charente area, so might be staying where I am.
i would imagine lots of farms offer 'hibernage' judging by the number of signs we see when driving through the area. only problem is of course that you would need to go and speak to them direct. lots of 'fermes' also offer camping in addition??

Sorry to go off at a bit of a tangent, but Kelper, could you give me details of where you’re storing your van, I’m looking to sort out storage in that sort of area as I getting tired of dragging the van on the ferry every year as I now don’t use it in Ireland or UK. Thanks in advance.
John.
