Hello. Looking for campsite recommendations for Northern Soain in Summer holidays. Sailing to Santander on the overnight ferry. Looking for a campsite by the sea for family of 4 (2 teenage kids), prepared to drive a bit along the coast. Don’t want anything too holiday park ish. Thanks !

We've camped in N Spain on and off for thirty years ...

If you'd like to browse through some of my reviews, you'll see quite a few.

Last year we spent nearly three weeks at Las Arenas ... was very good .... but lots of others ... and ... don't miss the Picos ... either as day trips or camping near Potes.

20 odd years since we've been but Playa Joyel at Noja, a shortish drive east from Santander might well fit the bill - direct access to a great beach - few minutes drive to supermarket(s).
