i have camped in Logrono and near graus on the side of 'emblase barrisona'.
i have worked in Zaragoza and if i had the opportunity would love to take a holiday there. if i had the time i would love to take my caravan to spain. i would imagine though that if you did stay in Zaragoza it would be hot. certaily when i stayed in logrono and graus i was sleeping in my tent and it was so warm i didnt need a sleeping bag.
if you use google maps it shows quite a few campsites between Bayone and Valencia.

Done the many a time, we go thru the Somport tunnel, must admit from Pau to the Spanish border can get a bit tedious. On the A23 JCN 165 the is a Repsol station, restaurant, fuel and facilities for motorhomes, loads of space, we tend to stay there. Failing that we have just parked up on several different services stations with no bother.
God knows why we did book a site once, don't think we did enough research. It claims to be the highest campsite in Spain and the journey off the A23 to the site makes us think it probably is.
Nothing wrong with the site and we laugh about it now, but the access is just to difficult.

If you fancy it, for what it is worth I would stick to the services.
Coming back from Valencia last year we did Valencia to Haro in one go then Haro to a site west of Bordeaux the next day. Each time it was a day's drive 6-8 hours towing.

Coming back, you might build in Cuenca ... it's stunning ... and a good campsite.
Know the city of Cuenca, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and the Enchanted City, a natural paradise declared Natural Site of National Interest for almost 100 years.
Thanks for your reply Baileyjake. I have Googled campsites but few appear to be on the route we will be taking, and we do not want to be going miles off route to find one.

There seem to be quite a few between bayone, Pamplona and Zaragoza but they do seem quite sparse South of Zaragoza that said there are a couple close to the highway. Use google maps to plan the route then zoom in on one of the sections then search “camping” It shows a few Motorhome Aires and campsites.
I will be going to Andalusia in may but flying to Seville and renting a villa. There are some fantastic looking campsites in and around Conil where we stay but it would take too long to tow a caravan down there in the school holidays. Vendee France for us in the summer. Sounds like you are on a long trip though. I found the Navarra region of Spain quite spectacular when I rode my motorbike there.
