Has anyone stayed in a campsite within walking distance of St Antonin Noble Val pleaseb The only site with one review is the municipal but the review is from 2010. We would like to be able to walk into the market!

The municipal site claims to be eight minutes walk from the village- Google its name, Camping Le Ponget , and over 100 reviews pop up.
The nearest commercial site, Camping Gorges de l 'Aveyron, claims to be a 15 minute walk from the village- and similarly has lots of reviews, but it's so long since we were there and my memory of it has faded.

We were going to stay at Camping Gorges de l'Aveyron, (which I think may now be Camping Campeole le Noble Val) but didn't and left to go elsewhere. We didn't like the site - on the day we visited it was full of British football supporters, with flags and bunting, and TVs on very loud, and put us off. We also didn't like the fact that the pool was at the very edge of the site, outside the reception area, and adjacent to the access road to the site - which felt very vulnerable. I see on satellite view that there is now another pool which looks to be inside the site boundaries.
Another thing we didn't like was the river at the bottom - we were used to sites with shallow fast-flowing rivers, ideal for us to canoe, but the river was greenish, covered with vegetation, and with very limited access. The sanitary blocks were Ok - one perhaps in need of modernisation - but to be fair I think we would probably have stayed apart from the other visitors at the time.
However, it was (just) within walking distance of the town.
