Hi all
Can anybody please advise with the following please. We are going to Spain in late April. We would like to break the journey between Bilbao and Barcelona with 2 stopovers. We will be towing a caravan and we have a dog with us. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also because it's early April do we need doom in advance or should it be quite at this time of the year. Thank you in advance for any info you may have.
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
There are three ferry arrival times at Bilbao ranging from 7.45 am. to 2.15 pm.. if you are on tne first of those you can easily run 200 miles down the motorway to Zaragoza . If you are on the latter you will perhaps prefer somewhere closer - perhaps just 50 miles to Haro. What time do you plan to arrive?
Hi, we arrive on the 12.30 ferry (Spanish time) we then have 2 days before our arranged campsite booking in Blanes. I was hoping to drive about 100 miles when we arrive, then around 180ish miles on day 2, leaving just a small drive on the arrival day for Blanes.
We did try to book there via their website but when we got to the payment part our card was, for some reason refused, have you been to this site? If so do you think we could just turn up on the day and get a pitch. What we don't want to happen is end up without somewhere to stay the night.
Campsites offering ACSI camping card discounts are rarely full - that's why they join that marketing scheme. I think you can confidently just turn up. But if you have doubts give them a ring when you land at Bilbao and say you are on your way. Good wishes to you.
We did a big circuit of Spain starting at the beginning of May last year.
We did not book anything at all in advance and there was always room even into June. Just go for it and see how far you get.
Stayed at both Navarette and Haro, good sites for a stop over, I would have thought that in April you would not need to book in advance, both are quite near each other.
The other site on route is at Lograno, have a look on google maps
