Just wondering if anyone is trying to incorporate their holiday routines with their 'new' daily life.
Over the last few years I've enjoyed getting up early to go for a walk from the campsite while the husband has a lie in - he's got a chronic lung condition so walking isn't his thing.
Due to the difficulty of maintaining social distancing in a large village where every footpath is popular with dog walkers etc, I've been getting out for walk at 6am most mornings during lockdown. It's lovely, except it reminds me that on holiday the walk's followed by freshly baked croissants, a little drive out to some attraction near the campsite, a swim in the site's pool and a long session on sunbed with a good book, then a few glasses of the local wine and an evening BBQ.
Not quite the same when it's followed by WFH! Plus while we are lucky to have some nice countryside within reach, it's not quite the same as walking past chateaux or along the Sentier des Douaniers!

We were talking about this yesterday ... as we walked, cycled and BBQ'ed with a bottle of wine ... all in glorious weather, and extraordinarily warm for April!

I looked at the house and thought, gosh, that caravan has a lot of accessories!

We are very lucky to be 3/4 mile from a beach, mountain behind us, woods to the right and very low population density ... only missing the croissants, as you mentioned, Ironmed.

We went into 'holiday' mode at the beginning of lockdown, so tend to lie in a bit, do our own thing, doss about the house or garden with reading.
Go for a walk most days, OH cycles as well, this includes small shopping trips.
Still have some chores, but can spread them out a bit. And you still have chores when camping.

Waitrose frozen croissants...pop them in the oven for ten minutes, set camping chairs and table up in the back garden and convince yourself you're in a (rather chilly) campsite in France...

We have a 7 mile dedicated cycle track that goes along the seafront which is about 80 metres from our house

However, because it is so popular, the hordes using it make social distancing an impossibility.

So it is back to our usual activity when in France, lots of wine and rampant sex.

Sounds like a great way to spend a holiday!

Got plenty of wine. Where in Tescos will I find the rampant sex?

I am lucky enough to still be working, so during the week , my routine is pretty much the same as always. Weekends are a different matter. We are eating and drinking as if on holiday. Wine with meals, sit out in the garden, evening walks, its lovely(apart from the hour wait in the supermarket queue) We pretend our local park is a different location every time and discuss what we would do if it was in France

However, have recently been redeployed and may need to work weekends, so a new routine will be needed.
