Re-Cap:
Original booking was made early March 2020, to travel 13th June 2020. (So effectively, I could have amended the booking myself, up to March 2021... 12 months from original booking date).
A few weeks back, attempting to call them, I was advised (voice recorded message) not to contact them until within 2 weeks of the booked outward journey... Which brings us to...
Update, as of 30 minutes or so ago:
12 minutes on hold, on the 01303 number on page 1.
I explained the situation..."Cannot/Don't want to travel before Sept 2020, and campsites will mostly be closed from Sept 2020 to March 2021, due to it being a bit nippy, and The French not being as brave as us, when it comes to camping weather (OK, I didn't use those exact words! ), so effectively I fear losing out, as amending my booking seemed pointless".
I was then offered (and accepted) a voucher number, which will also be emailed to me, "Either later today or tomorrow".
The original booking has now been cancelled by Eurotunnel themselves.
The voucher is for the full value of our original booking.
The voucher number can only be used to make a booking between now and 31st May 2021. So the booking date must be within 12 months.
He mentioned that usual booking cannot be made more than 8 or 9 months in advance, due to how they process their timetables, so effectively, If I book as late as possible (May 2021), I could book to travel anytime up to March 2022 (9 months later).
There was no mention of the usual "Amend travel date up to 12 months from booking date", but I suspect that would in fact be possible. After all, it's merely a cash value voucher! Don't quote me on this paragraph, but the rest is gospel! LOL!
Absolutely delighted with this outcome.
Bravo to Eurotunnel... and one hell of a massive to our very own UKCS hero, Oxter, for being thoughtful enough to start this thread, and let us all know.

Joanna,
Yes. He gave me the voucher code verbally over the phone (Happy to wait while I sorted pad & pen, but I'd got one handy anyway).
I've received the confirmation email this morning, again confirming the code.
The email confirms that the voucher is valid until 31/05/2021, and that usual ticket terms apply, so we could indeed travel up to 12 months after that. It virtually tells you that, word for word.
Booking using the voucher must be done on the phone (Email gives an 0345 number). Voucher will not work for online bookings (I assume any subsequent amendments could then be done online)
He cancelled my original booking (For 13th June) whilst we were still on the 'phone. I have since tried to "Manage my booking", and it is indeed now showing "This booking has been cancelled".
There are T&Cs with the voucher, namely they cannot be sold to, or used by, anyone else. They do plan to ensure proof of ID when we ring to book, but I won't reveal the plan here (The email tells you).
A few other bits about pet travel/Frequent Traveller bookings etc, none of which affects us, so can't remember the details.
No catches, no quibbles, from what I can see.
